Mission accomplished for City’s FIT ROBINS

first_imgEarlier this month, participants on the Robins Foundation’s FIT ROBINS project (pictured above, before lockdown measures were put in place) embarked on the gruelling challenge of amassing the same number of steps as it would take to walk to every stadium in the championship. Each day the group have been recording the number of steps they have completed with the aim of reaching this target.Just three weeks, and 1.8 million steps later, the group of 16 FIT ROBINS have successfully walked the equivalent distance of Ashton Gate Stadium to every other championship ground, some 859 miles.FIT ROBINS Lead Coach, Lee Gillett, commented: “The group have showed exceptional commitment and will power to complete this challenge. Walking the equivalent of 859 miles in just three weeks is a really phenomenal achievement.“I’m really proud of the attitude that the group has taken towards this challenge and keeping active in general. The current circumstances are certainly challenging and it can be difficult to stay motivated, but every one of the participants in this challenge have been brilliant.”last_img
