Lamar softball takes two in Louisiana

Sable Hankins hit her team-leading third home run of the year in the top of the seventh to give LU the 4-1 lead. Liberty (6-8) scored three runs in the bottom of the inning, tying the game on a two-out bases-loaded walk to Tori Zavodny. Each team scored a run in the eighth inning before Liberty won it in the bottom of the 10th on an RBI bunt single by Kassidy McCoy. The freshman right-hander allowed two hits over three innings, walking one and striking out five.
